Tesla’s (NASDAQ: TSLA) export of its vehicles made in China in the month of October went up by 34% year-over-year to 54,504 vehicles, according to data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA). This data follows a report last week from the CPCA of Tesla’s sales in China falling by 13.8% from September to 71,704 vehicles in October.

The CPCA data also indicated that the EV auto major delivered 17,200 vehicles to local consumers in China in October. According to a CnEVPost report, “Tesla produces new cars in the first half of each quarter primarily for export,” and October was no exception to this trend.
Tesla has also announced a discount of up to $1,110 for consumers in China, who will purchase vehicles from its inventory.
