Take-Two (TTWO) stock slipped on Thursday after the video game company announced that an extended look at Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for August 27 at 3:00 p.m. ET. Interestingly, this extended look will first be released on Netflix (NFLX). However, that doesn’t mean gamers will have to subscribe to the streaming service for the latest insight into GTA VI.

Rockstar Games, the developer behind GTA VI, intends to release the extended look at the game on its YouTube channel. The only caveat here is that the developer won’t put the video up on its channel until six hours after it has premiered on Netflix.
This new extended look at GTA VI will likely draw a large crowd. The game is already building an immense amount of hype ahead of its launch later this year. Adding to that, this trailer will offer gamers their first look at the gameplay of GTA VI. Up to this point, the trailers for the game have largely focused on the story.
What to Know About GTA VI’s Release
Gamers will have to wait until November 19, 2026 to play GTA VI. Additionally, the game will only be released on consoles that day. That means gamers with Sony’s (SONY) PlayStation 5 or Microsoft’s (MSFT) Xbox Series X|S will be able to play the game. PC gamers will have to wait for an official release, which might not come until months later.
Of course, this all hinges on GTA VI not being delayed again. A recent claim from a former Rockstar Games insider said it wouldn’t be surprising for the game to be delayed before its November 19, 2026 release. If that happens, it would mark the third delay of the game from its original planned release year of 2025.
