Stellantis (NYSE: STLA) stated on Tuesday that it is going to recall 1.4 million pickup trucks globally because of a tailgate problem. The automaker stated that the tailgates could open while driving and may not latch properly.
Stellantis added that the recall will cover Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 pickup truck models through the year 2019 to 2022. The company added that while there were no reports of injuries or crashes, it had received more than 800 warranty claims regarding this issue.
Analysts are upbeat about STLA stock with a Strong Buy consensus rating based on nine Buys and three Holds.
