SanDisk (SNDK) shares rose about 14% on Thursday after the company laid out stronger‑than‑expected long‑term targets on its Investor Day. Five-star-rated Goldman Sachs analyst James Schneider kept his Buy rating and $2,200 (44% upside) price target, saying the event should help the stock hold its gains. Schneider said SanDisk’s new financial goals were well above what investors had been modeling. Management now sees mid‑to‑high‑teens revenue growth, 80% gross margins, and 75% operating margins from FY28 to FY30, levels that point to strong profit power even as the memory market shifts.

Two ETFs for long or short leverage on SNDKSanDisk also plans to return 100% of excess free cash flow to shareholders. The analyst noted that this is far ahead of what peers have announced so far and adds support for the stock.
Further, the company outlined a detailed roadmap for its next‑gen high-bandwidth flash (HBF) technology. HBF is designed to boost AI inference performance while lowering system costs tied to HBM. Schneider called the roadmap “compelling” and said it adds upside optionality to SanDisk’s long‑term story.

Cycle Questions Remain
Meanwhile, the analyst did flag one risk. While long‑term customer agreements (NBMs) may help smooth out industry cycles, he said this idea still needs to be proven and may take time to show up in the stock’s valuation.
Even with this concern, Schneider reiterated a bullish rating, saying SanDisk should benefit from tight NAND supply and a product mix that keeps improving. He expects the stock to hold today’s gains after the Investor Day helped boost market sentiment.
