Roku Introduces Streaming Player Line-Up in Germany

California-based TV streaming platform Roku (ROKU) has introduced its streaming player line-up — Roku Express, Roku Express 4K, Roku Streaming Stick 4K and Roku Streambar — in Germany.

Powered by the Roku operating system (OS), the streaming players offer features like voice assistant compatibility, universal search across top channels, a customizable home screen and Airplay 2.

Shares of the company slipped 2.8% on Friday. The stock lost another 0.3% in extended trade to finally close at $321.

The Vice-President of EMEA at Roku, Bart Bomers, said, “We offer TV lovers an intuitive way to stream to their TV through products at a variety of price points because consumers have a range of needs when they’re looking for a streaming device for their families and we offer something for everyone.” (See Roku stock chart on TipRanks)

The streaming services will be available at a starting price of €29.99. The Express, Express 4K and Streambar are available at MediaMarkt, Saturn, Amazon (AMZN), Expert, Euronics and Otto.de. The same retailers will offer the Roku Streaming Stick 4K from October.

On September 9, Stephens analyst Nicholas Zangler maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a price target of $475 (47.6% upside potential).

After Amazon announced its plans to launch its branded smart TVs, the analyst said, “Given Amazon price points, we feel Roku’s market share is not threatened.”

Overall, the stock has a Strong Buy consensus rating based on 13 Buys, 2 Holds and 1 Sell. The average Roku price target of $475 implies 47.6% upside potential. Shares have gained 72.8% over the past year.
