Dennis Geiger has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors including the strong performance of Yum! Brands’ key segments, particularly Taco Bell and KFC. Taco Bell has shown impressive same-store sales growth, driven by innovative menu offerings and effective marketing strategies, which are expected to sustain momentum into the next quarters. Additionally, Yum! Brands’ strategic acquisition of Taco Bell units is anticipated to significantly boost EBITDA and operating profit growth in the coming years.
Moreover, KFC’s global presence continues to expand with stable growth, supported by successful marketing campaigns and menu innovations. While Pizza Hut faces challenges, the strategic review underway could potentially unlock new opportunities. The company’s focus on digital advancements, such as the global rollout of Byte, is further enhancing its marketing capabilities and digital sales, positioning Yum! Brands for continued success despite macroeconomic challenges.

In another report released today, Evercore ISI also upgraded the stock to a Buy with a $180.00 price target.

Based on the recent corporate insider activity of 74 insiders, corporate insider sentiment is negative on the stock. This means that over the past quarter there has been an increase of insiders selling their shares of YUM in relation to earlier this year.
