Nafeesa Gupta’s rating is based on a combination of factors affecting Coursera’s current market position. The company is experiencing mixed user trends, with a deceleration in app daily active users and a decline in web traffic, indicating challenges in maintaining user engagement. Despite efforts to enhance consumer subscriptions and improve site experience, macroeconomic uncertainties continue to pressure corporate spending, affecting the Enterprise segment’s performance.
Additionally, Coursera is undergoing a significant leadership transition with the upcoming change of its CFO, which has contributed to investor caution and a recent decline in stock price. While Coursera has reaffirmed its financial guidance, the overall growth outlook remains muted, with expectations of further deceleration in revenue growth. These factors collectively support the Hold rating, as the company navigates through these transitional and economic challenges.

In another report released on October 7, TR | OpenAI – 4o also reiterated a Hold rating on the stock with a $11.00 price target.

COUR’s price has also changed dramatically for the past six months – from $6.850 to $10.210, which is a 49.05% increase.
