Zocdoc Integrates With Google Gemini to Turn AI Health Queries into Bookable Care

Zocdoc has launched a first-of-its-kind integration with Google’s Gemini app, positioning its scheduling infrastructure at the core of how AI-driven health inquiries convert into real patient appointments. As Gemini’s first health appointments connected apps partner, Zocdoc now enables U.S. users 18 and older to move directly from conversational guidance in Gemini to real-time booking across its network of more than 200,000 providers, 200-plus specialties, and 10,000 insurance plans.

The partnership expands Zocdoc’s role from a consumer-facing marketplace into embedded healthcare access infrastructure across emerging AI front doors, with providers on Zocdoc automatically surfaced in Gemini without additional integration. Strategically, this aligns with Zocdoc’s data showing rapid adoption of AI in healthcare decision-making—26% of patients have used AI for health questions and 85% of providers report seeing more AI-informed patients—creating a new distribution channel to capture demand and potentially accelerate utilization, reduce average patient wait times from the national 31-day benchmark to Zocdoc’s typical 24–72-hour window, and deepen Zocdoc’s relevance as AI platforms become central to patient discovery and access.
