Relativity, a global leader in legal technology, celebrates the fifth anniversary of its Justice for Change program, which has significantly advanced social justice initiatives worldwide. Launched in 2020, the program has supported over 250 matters, involving more than 19.2 million documents, and has empowered over 90 organizations with Relativity’s cutting-edge technology. These efforts have enabled legal teams to tackle systemic inequities, protect vulnerable populations, and advocate for human and environmental rights. CEO Phil Saunders emphasized Relativity’s commitment to leveraging AI and advanced legal tech for the public good, ensuring that these tools are accessible to organizations that need them most.

The Justice for Change program has expanded globally, reaching regions such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and EMEA, demonstrating the scalability of justice initiatives. By providing free access to RelativityOne, an AI-powered cloud platform, the program equips under-resourced legal teams with the tools necessary for effective litigation and advocacy. This initiative has facilitated significant outcomes, such as the exoneration of Ian Schweitzer after 23 years of wrongful incarceration. As the program continues to grow, Relativity is exploring new ways to enhance its impact, such as transitioning pro bono organizations from paper-based systems to digital workflows, generating substantial cost savings. The upcoming Relativity Innovation Awards will further recognize contributions to access to justice, underscoring the company’s ongoing dedication to driving systemic change through technology.
