Magic Shave, a longstanding leader in the hair removal industry, has unveiled its latest campaign, ‘Smooth Over Everything,’ aiming to challenge traditional shaving methods. The campaign, featuring the charismatic Magic Man played by content creator Jonathan Bynoe, seeks to highlight the drawbacks of razors and promote Magic Shave’s innovative four-minute formula. With over 122.4 million views on TikTok, Magic Shave has become a viral sensation, continuing its legacy since its inception in 1901 as a blade-free solution for Black men experiencing razor bumps.

The campaign is multifaceted, incorporating digital content, social media challenges, out-of-home stunts, and live events. The digital content includes cinematic ‘razor roasts,’ where the Magic Man humorously critiques the use of razors. A social media series, ‘Your razor is so…’ challenge, invites creators to make light-hearted jokes about outdated shaving tools. Out-of-home stunts in Brooklyn aim to warn the public about the pitfalls of using razors. Additionally, the campaign extends to real-world events, such as the Southouseparty activation and the West Indian Day Parade, where Magic Shave partnered with WBLS and influential creators to celebrate cultural pride and the benefits of a bump-free shave. This nationwide campaign, developed in collaboration with Kitchen Table, launches on October 28, marking a significant step in Magic Shave’s strategy to redefine hair removal.
