Ledger Explores NFT Ticketing Use Case Through Educational Program

According to a recent LinkedIn post from Ledger, the company’s Ledger N3XT program is showcasing a student project focused on NFT-based ticketing. The post highlights how concerns about ticket scalping and high resale fees motivated participant Jeremy Mitaux-Maurouard to design an alternative ticketing model using blockchain.

As described in the post, the platform turns event attendance into a permanent, on-chain record while integrating Ledger’s technology into post-event payout workflows. After a show, an agent calculates payouts to each artist, and each transaction is routed through a Ledger signer for individual approval before funds are released.

For investors, the post suggests Ledger is exploring practical applications of NFTs beyond speculative trading, targeting pain points in the live events and ticketing industry. This focus on transparent, programmable payouts and verifiable on-chain attendance could strengthen Ledger’s positioning as an infrastructure provider for emerging Web3 use cases.

While the initiative appears at an early, experimental stage within an educational program, it may hint at potential future partnerships or product integrations in ticketing and entertainment. If such concepts evolve into commercial offerings, they could expand Ledger’s addressable market and reinforce its role in enabling trusted digital asset transactions across diverse sectors.
