“This week is a massive one for Dogecoin, as we are getting the first-ever memecoin ETF,” he wrote. “This could trigger a massive influx of fresh capital into $DOGE just like we saw on $BTC and $ETH.”
For the first time, DOGE has a regulated exchange-traded fund tied to its name. This means traders no longer need to buy the coin directly to gain exposure. Instead, they can use $DOJE just like they would with a stock or Bitcoin ETF.
Dogecoin Price Targets Begin at $1.40
Bitcoinsensus paired his comment with a chart that showed Dogecoin forming a bullish megaphone pattern. In past cycles, this setup has sparked rallies where each leg was stronger than the last.
According to his projection, the next breakout could take DOGE to $1.40. This is roughly a 400% jump from current levels near $0.28. For a token once dismissed as a meme, the price target underscores how seriously traders are now taking it.
The key question is whether the ETF will actually drive the same kind of flows that Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs saw in their early days. If so, the $1.40 target may not look so far-fetched.
“My Target for DOGE Is $5”
Some traders are going even further. CryptoELlTES wrote: “My target for $DOGE is $5 after a Dogecoin ETF!”
This would be more than a 1,600% increase from today’s prices. Such a level might sound extreme, but traders point to the flood of institutional money waiting on the sidelines. If those funds treat DOGE like they did Bitcoin and Ethereum, the price action could break every historical chart.
Wall Street Meets Meme Culture
Dogecoin has always thrived on internet culture, memes and hype. Now it has something different, a regulated investment vehicle that puts it alongside the world’s biggest digital assets.
Whether it stops at $1.40 or pushes all the way to $5, one thing is clear. With the ETF live, the days of Dogecoin being seen as just a joke coin are coming to an end.
At the time of writing, Dogecoin is sitting at $0.2811.
