New on TipRanks! The ETF Comparison and ETF Screener Pages

Story Highlights

ETFs are undoubtedly one of the best investment options in the current uncertain scenario, giving exposure to a wide array of stocks under one fund. TipRanks’ launched the Compare ETF and ETF Screener pages to help you choose the best ETF aligned with your investment goals.

The TipRanks ETF pages have caught a lot of attention since their launch. There are a multitude of Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) in the market, and it becomes difficult for an investor to select which ETF best suits their investment goal. You can find many assorted ETF lists on the TipRanks’ ETF Center such as the Top Gainers/Losers of the prior day, as well as a breakdown of Major ETFs by Categories such as Sector, Currency, Commodities, Countries, etc.

While these are lists that we thought would help investors scan ETFs efficiently, you may have different criteria in mind. And hence, we launched two new ETF pages to facilitate your investment decision: the Compare ETFs page and the ETF Screener. You can find both of these pages under the Research Tools menu.

On the Compare ETF page, you can compare up to 20 ETFs of your choice based on a few pre-defined parameters.

Meanwhile, on the ETF Screener page, you will find a list of over 7,000 ETFs tracked by TipRanks. You can compare the ETFs on the Screener based on various parameters available on TipRanks.

Both of these pages have a similar set of data to enable your ETF comparison, as follows:

  • Overview – includes the ETF Symbol, ETF Name, Price & Change (%) for one day, the ETF’s Expense Ratio, price change for 1 Year (in%), the ETF’s AUM, the Smart Score, and the option to Follow the ETF.
  • ETF Facts – provides information including the Index Name, Asset Class, Region, Strategy employed, etc.
  • TipRanks Essentials – includes TipRanks unique toolsets such as the ETF’s Analyst Price Target, Hedge Fund Signal, Insider Signal Strategy, News Sentiment, and the ETF’s Smart Score.
  • Dividend – provides information on the Ex-Dividend Date, Payment Date, Dividend Yield, and Last Dividend Amount.
  • Technicals – includes Average Volumes for different time frames, as well as a few Moving Averages.
  • Performance – displays the percentage change in the price returns for varying periods ranging from 1 Day, 1 Month, 1 Year, Year-to-Date, and up to 5 Years.

That’s not all! The Compare ETF page also displays a Performance Comparison chart that displays a line graph for each selected ETF since May 2020. TipRanks considers May 2020 as the base (0.00%) for this comparison and shows how much an ETF has gained/lost (% terms) as of a particular date. You can hover over the line graphs on different dates to see the comparative performance of each ETF. By studying this chart, you can easily see how the ETFs have fared historically in terms of their prices, and which one has offered the best returns.

On the other hand, the ETF Screener page offers a variety of both Basic and Advanced Filters to choose from to sort ETFs. These filters include some of TipRanks’ unique tools, as well as ETF-specific features namely, AUM, Sector, Theme, Strategy, NAV, Beta, etc. By selecting the filters, the page will display a list of ETFs based on the chosen criteria.

Key Takeaways

Investors are happy to put their investible corpus in ETFs as they give them the benefits of diversification, lower costs, higher liquidity, flexibility, transparency, and tax efficiency.
