Household Electronics at Risk of 30% Price Jump from Tariffs

Household electronics, like laptops, tablets, monitors, and smartphones, could be subject to a 30% or higher rise in prices, according to a new report from the WSJ that cites new data from the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). The data assumes a 25% tariff on these products.

Laptops and Smartphones Could Get Much More Expensive

The CTA data also shows that video game console prices could increase by a staggering 69.4%, while computer accessories, desktop computers, and speakers and headphones prices could rise by over 20%.

Many consumer electronics stocks have suffered steep declines this year.
