Alphabet (GOOGL) is scheduled to report its second-quarter 2026 results on July 22. On Wall Street, analysts are expecting earnings per share of $2.88, up from $2.31 a year ago. Meanwhile, revenue is expected to grow by 21.3% to $117.01 billion. Heading into earnings, analysts remain bullish on GOOGL stock, which currently carries a Strong Buy rating with 24.4% upside potential. Here’s what analysts expect next for the stock.

Latest Analysts’ Views on GOOGL Stock

Several analysts have recently raised their price targets on GOOGL stock, citing stronger growth expectations.

Most recently, top-rated analyst Brian Pitz at BMO Capital raised his price target on GOOGL to $455 from $435 with a Buy rating. He raised his revenue estimates for Google Cloud by 2% for the fourth quarter and 13% for fiscal 2027, bringing them in line with Wall Street expectations. Pitz further stated that expanding data center capacity and Google’s large backlog support his outlook. However, he noted that questions are emerging around Google’s Gemini AI model after reports suggested that the launch of Gemini Pro 3.5 has been delayed.

Meanwhile, BofA’s analyst Justin Post also lifted his price target from $370.90 to $430 with a Buy rating on GOOGL stock. Post remains optimistic about Alphabet for two main reasons. He sees strong momentum in Google Cloud, where revenue rose 63%, and the backlog has climbed above $460 billion.

In addition, he also expects Alphabet to post an $80 billion gain in second-quarter operating income as the value of its investment in Anthropic increased. The AI startup’s valuation jumped from $380 billion in the first quarter to $965 billion in the second quarter.

Wedbush’s analyst Ygal Arounian shares a similarly positive view on Alphabet. He has named GOOGL a “top pick” ahead of its July 22 earnings report and reiterated his Buy rating. Arounian said the company has a strong advantage across its ecosystem, including Google Search, Android, Chrome, YouTube, the Gemini AI model, custom TPUs, and Google Cloud.

Currently, Stifel’s five-star-rated analyst Mark Kelley is the most accurate analyst covering GOOGL over the timeframe of three months. He has an 80% success rate and an average return of 9.23% per trade in the last three months. On TipRanks, Kelley ranks #265 among more than 12,000 tracked analysts.

Last week, Kelley reiterated his Buy rating on GOOGL stock with a price target of $420, implying an upside of 19.3%.

Meanwhile, top-rated analyst Andrew Boone at Citizens JMP is the most profitable analyst on GOOGL stock over the timeframe of three months.
