Elon Musk Continues to Bash Trump’s Megabill

Over the weekend, the U.S. Senate voted to advance Trump’s megabill to a final debate after two senators switched their votes from “no” to “yes.” However, one outspoken billionaire is still extremely unhappy with the bill’s contents.

“The latest Senate draft bill will destroy millions of jobs in America and cause immense strategic harm to our country!” said Elon Musk in an X post. He added that the bill is “Utterly insane and destructive.”

Megabill Puts U.S. in Vulnerable Position, Says Musk

In other posts, the Tesla (TSLA) CEO said that the bill raises the debt ceiling by $5 trillion, which would put “America in the fast lane to debt slavery!”

Musk is also opposed to the bill’s measures against solar and wind energy, and warned that the U.S. would be vulnerable to China’s progress in batteries and solar if the bill passes.

Trump has not publicly commented on Musk’s recent posts. The pair previously had a heated dispute over the bill, which peaked when Trump threatened to cancel government contracts for companies owned by Musk. That ultimately resulted in Musk backing down and apologizing.

TSLA stock hasn’t experienced a major reaction from the potential revival of the dispute and is slightly in the red on Monday.
