United Microelectronics (UMC) has released an update.
United Microelectronics has announced a strategic disposal of its subsidiary, UnitedDS Semiconductor (Shandong) Co., Ltd., for a total of RMB 77 million, resulting in a profit of approximately RMB 20 million. In addition to this divestiture, UMC has also disclosed acquisition of new facilities and plans to hold its Q1 2024 Investor Conference on April 10th. These moves are part of UMC’s ongoing strategy to optimize its investment portfolio and bolster production capabilities.
