An update from Perpetual Limited ( (AU:PPT) ) is now available.
Perpetual Limited has rejected a further revised, non-binding and indicative takeover proposal from EQT’s affiliate Windflower Pte. Limited to acquire all of its shares via a scheme of arrangement at A$22.50 per share, concluding the offer is not in the best interests of shareholders. The board, advised by BofA Securities and Mallesons, will nevertheless provide EQT with limited non-public information on a non-exclusive, confidential and standstill basis to explore whether a higher-value, more acceptable proposal can be formulated.
The company stressed that granting information access does not ensure a binding or recommendable offer will emerge and told shareholders they need take no action at this stage. Perpetual reaffirmed confidence in executing its existing strategy, including its Simplification Program, reliance on diversified earnings from Corporate Trust and Asset Management, and the sale of Wealth Management, and said it will continue to update the market in line with continuous disclosure obligations ahead of its FY26 results release on 27 August 2026.
