Orsted ( (DOGEF) ) has provided an update.
Ørsted has sold a 24.5% stake in the West of Duddon Sands Offshore Wind Farm to funds managed by Schroders Greencoat for GBP 456.1 million. This transaction supports Ørsted’s strategy of capital recycling and risk diversification, allowing the company to maintain a 25.5% interest and operational control of the wind farm. The sale is part of Ørsted’s broader strategy to strengthen its capital structure and expand its global leadership in offshore wind energy, with plans to nearly double its installed capacity.
