John Orr was appointed as the new Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of Norfolk Southern Corporation, bringing extensive industry experience from his previous roles at Canadian Pacific Kansas City and Kansas City Southern. His compensation package includes a $750,000 annual salary, a $825,000 cash bonus, and equity incentives worth up to $8.7 million. Paul B. Duncan will be stepping down from the same position at the end of March, with entitlement to severance as per company policy. The corporate transition aims to leverage Orr’s track record for operational leadership within the dynamic landscape of the railroad sector.
