Irish Continental Group’s subsidiary, Irish Ferries, has agreed to a Bareboat Charter for the Spirit of Britain from DP World France SAS, planning to rename and deploy the vessel for the Dover-Calais route in June. The ship, built in 2010 and costing a total of €89.4 million, aims to bolster Irish Ferries’ capacity for passengers and freight, as well as enable fleet restructuring on other routes. This strategic acquisition aligns with ICG’s growth in maritime transport between Ireland, Britain, and Europe.
