Hsbc Holdings Plc (UK) (GB:HSBA) has released an update.
HSBC Holdings PLC has announced the purchase and subsequent cancellation of 2,892,130 ordinary shares purchased in the UK and 1,283,200 shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, as part of its share buy-back program initiated on 22 February 2024. The total number of shares repurchased since the announcement has reached 252,473,063, amounting to approximately US$1.979 billion. Following these transactions, HSBC’s issued share capital consists of 18,878,240,995 ordinary shares, with further adjustments to be made once the shares repurchased in Hong Kong are cancelled.
