Gooch & Housego ( (GB:GHH) ) just unveiled an announcement.
Gooch & Housego reported a strong first half to 31 March 2026, with revenue up 15.5% to £81.9m and adjusted profit before tax rising 13.9% to £5.8m, driven by robust demand in aerospace and defence and early recovery in industrial laser and semiconductor markets. The aerospace and defence division saw revenue surge 51.7% to £35.6m and a marked profitability improvement, helped by recent acquisitions Phoenix Optical and Global Photonics and enhanced germanium capabilities.
The order book reached a record £167.3m, providing near full cover for expected full-year revenue and underpinning management’s confidence in further profitable growth despite a volatile macro backdrop. Integration of acquired businesses is largely complete, capacity has been expanded to meet defence-related demand in the U.S., UK and Europe, and the company is mitigating tariff and supply-chain risks via re-sourcing key materials and selective price increases, while maintaining unchanged full-year guidance and its ambition for mid-teens returns over the medium term.
The most recent analyst rating on (GB:GHH) stock is a Buy
with a £740.00 price target.
