In its first quarter of 2025, Global Payments reported a GAAP diluted earnings per share (EPS) of $1.24, marking a 2% increase, and an adjusted EPS of $2.69, reflecting an 11% rise in constant currency. The company also reported GAAP revenue of $2.41 billion, remaining relatively flat, while adjusted net revenue increased by 5% in constant currency, excluding dispositions.

The company highlighted its strategic initiatives, including the acquisition of Worldpay and the divestiture of Issuer Solutions, aimed at enhancing its long-term growth strategy and shareholder value. These moves are expected to streamline operations and position Global Payments as a pure play merchant solutions provider with expanded capabilities and market access.

Key financial metrics for the quarter included a 1% increase in adjusted net revenues to $2.20 billion and a 9% rise in adjusted EPS to $2.69. The adjusted operating margin expanded by 70 basis points to 42.4%. The company reaffirmed its 2025 outlook, projecting a 5% to 6% growth in constant currency adjusted net revenue and a 10% to 11% increase in constant currency adjusted EPS.

Looking ahead, Global Payments remains optimistic about its strategic direction and transformation initiatives. The management expressed confidence in achieving its goal of becoming the worldwide partner of choice for commerce solutions, supported by the integration of Worldpay and the anticipated synergies from the transaction.
