Diodes ( (DIOD) ) has issued an update.
On July 10, 2026, Diodes entered into a definitive Agreement and Plan of Merger to acquire San Diego-based ElevATE Semiconductor, a fabless IC specialist serving the automated test equipment market, in an all-cash transaction anchored by a $250 million base purchase price. ElevATE will become a wholly owned subsidiary upon closing, with ElevATE stockholders receiving cash consideration and earnout potential, subject to customary regulatory approvals, antitrust clearance and closing conditions.
The July 14, 2026 press release highlighted that the deal combines ElevATE’s low-power, high-density ATE IC technology with Diodes’ manufacturing scale and global sales reach, expanding Diodes’ analog and mixed-signal portfolio and penetration of the ATE market. The acquisition is expected to be immediately accretive to revenue, margin and EPS, add roughly $50 million in revenue in the first year, and strengthen Diodes’ positioning to capitalize on rising demand for automated test equipment driven by growth in automotive, industrial, data center and AI semiconductors.

Spark’s Take on DIOD Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, DIOD is a Outperform.
DIOD scores 70 driven mainly by balance-sheet strength and improving fundamentals, supported by a strong uptrend in technicals and a positive, guidance-backed earnings narrative. The primary offset is valuation risk from a high P/E and the fact that margins and cash conversion remain below prior-cycle levels.
