Copart, Inc. is set for a major leadership shuffle effective April 1, 2024, with A. Jayson Adair stepping up as Executive Chair while maintaining his board position, and Jeffrey Liaw taking the helm as the sole CEO and new board member, expanding the board from 11 to 12 directors. Willis J. Johnson will retain his role as chairman without executive duties. This transition, which includes ratified personal use of corporate aircraft for Liaw, won’t affect existing executive compensation arrangements. The company publicly announced these changes, emphasizing that they are part of its strategic succession planning.
