Comstock Mining ( (LODE) ) has shared an announcement.

Comstock Inc. reported its second-quarter 2026 results on July 23, highlighting near-complete commissioning of its first industry-scale solar recycling facility in northern Nevada, with integrated operations expected to begin continuous runs in August. The metals segment installed and tested most precision equipment, brought a glass-focused product upgrading system online, secured a JobsOhio grant for its planned Cambridge, Ohio facility, and began pilot testing for silver recovery from metals-rich tailings.

To fund its strategic pivot toward industrial metals and recycling, Comstock agreed on June 21, 2026, to sell its legacy mining and related real estate assets, including the Gold Hill Hotel, to Mackay Precious Metals for total consideration exceeding $45 million, plus a 1.5% NSR royalty, with closing targeted for August 2026. The company also recorded a non-cash impairment of about $16.4 million after abandoning certain Flux Photon-related technologies at Bioleum, increased its stake in Sierra Springs Opportunity Fund to 47.63% to control over 2,200 acres of Nevada land and significant water rights, and ended the quarter with $31.4 million in cash and 75.95 million shares outstanding, reinforcing its capital base for scaling solar recycling and metal recovery operations.

Spark’s Take on LODE Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, LODE is a Neutral.

LODE’s score is held back primarily by very weak financial performance (large operating losses and sustained cash burn) and only modest technical support (near-term weakness despite longer-term trend support). The earnings call improves the outlook via strengthened liquidity, reduced interest burden, and near-term operational commissioning milestones, but execution risk, limited feedstock visibility, and ongoing losses keep the overall score in the lower range.
