Barclays PLC has recently bought and plans to cancel 3,850,000 of its ordinary shares, as part of its ongoing share buy-back program initiated earlier this year. The shares were purchased at varying prices with the volume weighted average at 234.2309p. This action will reduce the total issued share capital to 14,723,418,037 ordinary shares, excluding any held in treasury.
