AXT ( (AXTI) ) has shared an update.

On June 11, 2026, AXT subsidiary Beijing Tongmei Xtal Technology Co., Ltd. signed a long-term supply agreement with Nanjing Casela Technologies Corporation, Ltd. to provide indium phosphide wafer substrates throughout 2027. Tongmei will reserve production capacity and raw materials while granting supply priority to Casela, which is obligated to purchase a fixed quantity of substrates for RMB 173,000,000, with half of the payment due shortly after signing and the remainder by December 31, 2026.

Casela must take at least 80% of the agreed volume or pay cancellation fees on any shortfall, and Tongmei may terminate the deal and retain prepayments if Casela materially breaches conditions such as order cancellation, non-collection of goods, or prolonged payment delays. The agreement secures a sizable 2027 revenue stream for Tongmei, strengthens its role as a key supplier in the indium phosphide substrate market, and provides Casela with prioritized access to critical semiconductor materials, subject to capacity and supplemental terms for any excess demand.

Spark’s Take on AXTI Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, AXTI is a Neutral.

The score is held back primarily by weak current financial performance (ongoing losses and cash burn) and unattractive valuation metrics (negative P/E, no dividend). Offsetting this, the latest earnings call was constructive with guidance for near-term profitability and strong backlog-driven momentum, while technical signals are mixed and do not provide clear support.
