Anglo American (GB:AAL) has released an update.
Anglo American has announced its intention to oppose any appeals related to the class action certification regarding lead pollution claims in Kabwe, Zambia. The High Court of South Africa recently granted claimants the right to appeal, despite previously dismissing the case due to legal and factual flaws. The mining giant maintains that it is not responsible for the situation in Kabwe and considers the claims against it to be baseless.
