Air New Zealand ( (ANZFF) ) has provided an update.
Air New Zealand reported a slight decrease in group capacity by 0.9% in July 2025 compared to the previous year, attributed to reduced aircraft availability due to global engine maintenance requirements. Despite this, the year-to-date underlying revenue per available seat kilometre (RASK) improved by 1.0%, with short-haul RASK also seeing a similar improvement, while long-haul RASK remained flat. The passenger load factor experienced a minor decline, and the number of passengers carried decreased by 1.6%. These operational statistics suggest a challenging period for the airline, likely impacting its market positioning and stakeholder interests.
