ABN AMRO Group N.V. ( (NL:ABN) ) has shared an update.
ABN AMRO reported a 29% year-on-year rise in Q2 2026 net profit to €781 million, with return on equity improving to 12.1% and a CET1 ratio of 15.9%. Operating income grew 13% to €2.4 billion, driven by strong net interest and fee income, while risk costs remained low and an interim dividend of €0.68 per share was announced.

Across Personal & Business Banking, Wealth Management and Corporate Banking, ABN AMRO is achieving profitable growth through higher deposits, mortgage and commercial lending, strong clearing results and €2.3 billion net inflows in assets under management. The bank is enhancing its retail offering with products like ‘ZekerStarten’ for first-time buyers and BUUT Pay for under-16s, and was named the Netherlands’ Best Retail Bank by Euromoney in 2026.
Strategically, ABN AMRO is optimising capital allocation and risk-weighted assets while integrating Hauck Aufhäuser Lampe and leveraging partnerships such as Worldline for card services and The Stack AI hub for scaling AI ventures. Its reappointment as financial adviser to the Dutch Ministry of Finance and financing of major battery storage infrastructure underscore its role in Europe’s financial and energy transitions.
