American Airlines Up After Q3 Earnings Beat

American Airlines Group (NASDAQ: AAL) posted record Q3 revenues of $13.5 billion, up 13% over the same period in 2019 and in line with consensus estimates.

The airliner’s adjusted earnings came in at $0.69 per share in the third quarter versus $0.25 in the same period a year back. Analysts were expecting earnings of $0.54 per share.

American Airlines’ CEO Robert Isom stated, “Demand remains strong and it’s clear that customers in the U.S. and other parts of the world continue to value air travel and the ability to reconnect post-pandemic. American has the youngest, most fuel-efficient fleet among U.S. network carriers and we are well-positioned for the future because of the incredible efforts of our team.”
