The news was shared during a Belgian economic mission in California. Eva Faict, Amazon’s Managing Director for Belgium and the Netherlands, confirmed that Bpost will remain a key partner. At the same time, Amazon will invest in its logistics network to support faster delivery times. Faict explained that Amazon Logistics will not operate alone, as the company plans to diversify how it handles deliveries. She also said that Amazon is committed to growing its local workforce, which currently includes around 400 employees, although no specific hiring targets were mentioned.

Beyond serving customers, Amazon aims to help small and medium-sized businesses grow by investing in artificial intelligence, which will help better support these sellers. Interestingly, since launching Amazon.com.be in 2022, the company has helped over 1,000 Belgian businesses reach new customers and created hundreds of local jobs. Moreover, according to Keystone Strategy, Amazon’s investments have added over €350 million to Belgium’s GDP since 2015, including €140 million in 2024 alone.
