ETF Overview
Volatility Shares 2x Sui ETF
Volatility Shares 2x Sui ETF (SUIL) is an actively managed, derivative-focused exchange-traded fund designed to deliver approximately twice (2x) the daily price movement of the cryptocurrency Sui (SUI) versus the U.S. dollar. Rather than holding SUI tokens, SUIL obtains its leveraged exposure primarily through cash‑settled futures contracts and related over‑the‑counter derivatives, using cash and short-term collateral to support its positions. As a pair-focused product—long SUI, short USD—the fund is built for investors seeking an amplified, short‑term bullish exposure to SUI price moves: if SUI rises 1% in a trading day, SUIL seeks to rise about 2% (before fees and expenses); conversely, it seeks to lose about 2% if SUI falls 1%. Because SUIL targets daily performance, its returns can diverge from two times the cumulative performance of SUI over longer holding periods due to daily rebalancing, compounding and market volatility. The fund’s active management team continuously adjusts derivative positions to maintain target leverage and manage margin, counterparty exposure, and roll costs. Key considerations for prospective investors include amplified volatility and loss potential from leverage, path‑dependent compounding effects (making SUIL generally unsuitable as a buy‑and‑hold vehicle), counterparty and futures market risks, and higher expenses compared with unleveraged ETFs. SUIL is intended for experienced, risk‑tolerant traders and portfolio managers using short‑term tactical strategies or hedges who understand the mechanics and risks of leveraged, derivative‑based crypto exposure.
