ETF Overview
Defiance Daily Target 2X Long MRNA ETF
Defiance Daily Target 2X Long MRNA ETF (MRNX) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, equal to 200% of the daily performance of Moderna, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRNA). Designed to deliver leveraged, short‑term exposure to a single biotechnology company, the fund achieves its target primarily through derivatives such as swap agreements, options and other instruments that provide magnified exposure to Moderna’s share-price moves. As a sector‑focused Health Care product in the Biotechnology niche, MRNX concentrates idiosyncratic company risk—Moderna’s pipeline, regulatory outcomes and commercial performance drive returns more than broad market or sector trends. For example, if MRNA gains 1% on a given trading day, MRNX seeks to return roughly 2% (before fees); conversely it will magnify losses by the same factor. Because the fund resets its exposure daily, multi‑day or long‑term performance can diverge substantially from two times the cumulative performance of MRNA due to compounding and volatility decay. MRNX is intended for experienced, active traders and investors seeking tactical, short‑horizon directional bets or hedges, not as a buy‑and‑hold core holding for long-term investors. Important risks include leveraged exposure, volatility drag, counterparty and derivatives risk, concentration in a single company, and the possibility of rapid, amplified losses; prospective investors should review the prospectus and understand the fund’s mechanics before trading.
