KraneShares Photonic and Optical ETF

LUMA — KraneShares Photonic and Optical ETF offers actively managed, thematic exposure to the global companies that design, manufacture and commercialize photonic and optical technologies. Positioned in the Information Technology sector with a focused niche in Semiconductors & Semiconductor Equipment, the fund targets the full photonics and optical ecosystem: optical components and fiber, lasers and LEDs, photonic integrated circuits and optoelectronics, sensors and imaging systems (including LiDAR and medical imaging), and the specialized equipment and materials suppliers that enable production. The strategy seeks growth-oriented, technology-driven businesses across geographies and market-cap ranges — from component and equipment manufacturers to systems integrators and solution providers — that are positioned to benefit from secular trends such as exploding data-center bandwidth needs, 5G/6G and optical communications, cloud computing and AI interconnects, autonomous vehicles and advanced sensing, and increasing adoption of photonics in healthcare and industrial automation. By concentrating on the photonics value chain rather than broad semiconductor indices, LUMA aims to give investors targeted participation in a distinct technology enabler that underpins next-generation connectivity, sensing and imaging applications.
