ETF Overview
Corgi International Developed Equities 15% Structured
IDJN — Corgi International Developed Equities 15% Structured is an actively managed, structured outcome ETF that offers targeted exposure to developed international equities (the EAFE niche) with a built‑in downside buffer. The fund seeks to deliver the price return of the iShares MSCI EAFE ETF up to a capped upside while providing a cushion against the first 15% of annual losses. It does this by overlaying FLEX options on the EAFE exposure—custom, exchange‑cleared option contracts that the manager adjusts each year to create a capped upside/limited‑loss profile.
Key features:
- Category and focus: Structured Outcome — Downside Hedge, concentrated on developed international equity markets outside the U.S. (EAFE).
- Objective: Capture upside participation in the MSCI EAFE price return subject to a cap, while absorbing the initial 15% of annual declines.
- Structure and timing: The ETF is actively managed and implements a new series each year; each series begins on June 1 and the buffer/cap applies on an annual reset basis.
- Trade‑off: Investors gain partial protection against modest annual drawdowns at the cost of limiting upside beyond the cap and accepting residual market risk for losses beyond the 15% buffer.
- Suitability: Designed for investors who want core international developed‑market equity exposure but prefer a defined, programmatic downside hedge rather than full protection or unhedged exposure.
Important considerations: The strategy “seeks to” achieve these outcomes but does not guarantee results; protections are limited to the specified annual buffer, the upside is capped, and the fund can still incur losses if markets fall beyond the buffer. Option overlay, active management choices, and timing differences mean results can diverge from the underlying MSCI EAFE price return.
