ETF Overview

Fidelity CLO ETF

Fidelity CLO ETF (FCLO) is an actively managed corporate credit ETF that seeks current income by investing primarily in USD‑denominated collateralized loan obligations (CLOs). Positioned in the bank‑loan / broad‑credit space with a floating‑rate niche, the fund targets CLO tranches generally rated from roughly BBB+ down to B‑, offering a mix of upper‑medium to below‑investment‑grade credit exposure. CLOs are securitizations of diversified pools of senior secured corporate loans issued by many borrowers; through that structure the ETF gains exposure to a broad swath of loan credits while benefiting from CLO structural features and manager selection. The floating‑rate profile of much of the underlying collateral means coupon payments reset with short‑term rates, which can reduce interest‑rate duration risk compared with fixed‑rate bonds and help the fund’s income keep pace with rising rates. Active management focuses on selecting exposures across parts of the CLO capital structure and across managers and vintages to balance yield generation and downside protection, while seeking diversification versus traditional corporate bond allocations. Investors should note this income‑oriented strategy carries credit and default risk, complexity and potential liquidity considerations tied to CLO markets and lower‑rated tranches, even as it aims to deliver higher yield and floating‑rate resilience relative to core investment‑grade fixed income.
