ETF Overview
Corgi U.S. Equities 15% Structured Buffer ETF - July Series
CJUL — Corgi U.S. Equities 15% Structured Buffer ETF (July Series) is an actively managed, structured‑outcome ETF that offers investors S&P 500 equity exposure with a predefined downside hedge. The fund seeks to replicate the price return of the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust up to a capped level while providing a one‑year buffer that absorbs the first 15% of losses. Each series begins July 1 and runs for an approximately one‑year term, after which a new series with freshly constructed option overlay is established.
Mechanically, CJUL uses exchange‑listed FLEX options to create a customized option overlay that establishes the capped upside and the 15% downside buffer for that annual series. FLEX options allow the manager to set strikes and expirations tailored to the fund’s target outcome, then actively manage and roll the positions as market conditions and the series schedule dictate. Because the strategy targets price return to a cap, investors should expect a trade‑off: limited upside participation in exchange for clearly defined downside protection for the first 15% of losses in the series period.
Positioned in the Structured Outcome category with a niche focus on S&P 500 downside hedging, CJUL is designed for investors who want broad U.S. large‑cap equity exposure but prefer a measured, rules‑based cushion against moderate market declines. The fund may suit tactical allocations or satellite holdings for investors seeking an outcome‑oriented alternative to unhedged S&P 500 exposure, recognizing that protection is limited to the specified buffer and that the cap and structure are set at each series start and will vary with market conditions. As with any options‑based strategy, outcomes are not guaranteed and performance can differ materially from owning the underlying benchmark outright.
