Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV ADR Class A (VLRS) has released an update.
Volaris, the ultra-low-cost airline serving Mexico and the Americas, reported a decline in April 2024 traffic results, with a load factor decrease to 84.7%, attributed to Pratt & Whitney engine inspections and a shift in the Easter holiday. The company transported 2.3 million passengers, seeing a significant reduction in domestic RPMs and a strategic capacity adjustment in preparation for the summer season. Despite the downturn, Volaris is aligning its booking curves with guidance for the upcoming quarter.
