HSBC Holdings plc (HSBC) has released an update.
HSBC Holdings plc has just announced the repurchase of 6,456,460 ordinary shares as part of its stock buy-back initiative, with a total spend of approximately $58.3 million. The buy-back, transacted through Morgan Stanley, took place on both UK and Hong Kong venues on 8 May 2024. Following this move, HSBC’s total issued share capital stands at 18,826,067,200 ordinary shares, with further updates to be expected following the cancellation of Hong Kong Stock Exchange repurchased shares.
