Will Crypto Attend the Super Bowl?

As further proof of crypto’s rising popularity, rumors abound about crypto’s presence at the upcoming Superbowl. Ads for cryptocurrency, an NFT for each attendee, and an NFT-based commercial are just some of the suggestions being bandied about.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Crypto.com, a cryptocurrency platform, will further its presence in the mindspace of Americans. The company has already purchased naming rights to the Staples Arena in Los Angeles, to the tune of $700 million. Now, the five-year-old company is set to air a commercial during the Superbowl.

Crypto.com will join another cryptocurrency exchange, FTX, in the space. Not to be left behind, FTX has also purchased naming rights to a stadium in Miami, which is now called FTX arena. Even ahead of airing its Super Bowl ad, FTX has been airing a series of commercials during sporting events. Its commercials feature two super-stars: Tom Brady of football fame and Gisele Bundchen, the model and businesswoman.

Furthermore, in December 2020, New York Magazine reported on a group of investors raising money for a Super Bowl ad promoting NFT art. There is also hearsay about Budweiser promoting NFTs in a Super Bowl commercial. Add that to the speculation that Paris Hilton and her NFTs will get in on the game with a Super Bowl commercial, and it seems entirely plausible that NFTs will find a starring spot at the Super Bowl.

Even more interesting, there is talk of every attendee at the Super Bowl receiving an NFT version of their admission ticket. No doubt, crypto is inching its way into nearly every aspect of the economy. Get in on the game and find out more about the best cryptocurrency stocks with TipRanks’ stock screener.
