After contract talks between UPS and the union representing 340,000 of its workers broke down, UPS said it will train nonunion employees in the U.S. to step in if there is a strike, which the union vowed to do if an agreement is not reached by the end of the month, Michelle Chapman of The Associated Press reported. UPS said the training is a temporary plan and will have no impact on current operations.
