TSMC plans to produce 4nm chips at Arizona plant, Bloomberg reports

At the urging of Apple (AAPL), AMD (AMD), and others, TSMC (TSM) plans to make advanced 4nm chips when its ~$12B Arizona plant opens in 2024, an upgrade to prior 5nm claims, Bloomberg’s Ian King, Mark Gurman, and Debby Wu report. According to people familiar with the matter, TSMC is expected to announce the new plan when President Joe Biden and Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo visit Phoenix for a ceremony next Tuesday.
