Sony will acquire the rights to Pink Floyd’s catalogue of music for about $400M, The Financial Times’ Daniel Thomas and Anna Nicolaou report. The deal includes Pink Floyd’s recorded music, according to two people familiar with the matter, with one person saying the deal also includes the band name and the artists’ “likeness.” Pink Floyd has agreed to sell their recorded rights, but not the songwriting, the people say.
