Loop Capital analyst Garik Shmois raised the firm’s price target on Sherwin-Williams to $285 from $260 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. The company reported a "nice" Q1 earnings beat, with sales in many categories up double digits due in part to the carryover of pricing from last year, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Loop adds however that Q1 is a seasonally small quarter, and the outlook was "chalk-full" of cautious commentary around tough back-half volume comps, limited visibility, and weaker new residential and consumer DIY demand.
