Raymond James analyst Srini Pajjuri resumed coverage of AMD with a Strong Buy rating and $100 price target, calling it "an underappreciated play on AI/ML," or artificial intelligence and machine learning. In the near-term, investors focus is on server share gains, which should continue through the year. However, for the longer-term, AMD’s unique combination of CPU, GPU, FPGA, and semi custom expertise "positions it particularly well" for the AI/ML market, the firm contends.
