Qiagen mulls selling stake in $1B bioinformatics division, Bloomberg reports

Qiagen is considering selling a minority stake in its bioinformatics unit, that could value that division at over $1B, Bloomberg’s Dinesh Nair, Michelle Davis and Tim Loh report, citing people familiar with the matter. The company has hired a financial adviser to mull its options as it evaluates bringing on an investor for the business, which is expected to draw interest from private equity firms. Reference Link
