After testing Tesla’s (TSLA) robotaxi service in Austin, Texas for a full day, JPMorgan’s head of global automotive research Jose Asumendi says the experience was “certainly solid and felt like a safe ride at all times.” The future of Tesla’s robotaxi ride and others operating in the field will be the traffic and accident-free data, the analyst tells investors in a research note. JPMorgan also believes robotaxis could boost the pricing power of new car sales.
